Men In Black (MIB)

Have you seen this movie? Although I have not bought over the alien concept that it depicts, this post is not about proving or disproving the existence of aliens but about certain lessons I gleaned from this movie's story line. I watched MIB 3 recently and noticed two salient truths with spiritual allegories:

a) I noticed the way aliens from other planets lived on planet Earth, they only maintained an earthly form but their hearts were always fixated on their home planets.

They are not of the world (worldly, belonging to the world), [just] as I am not of the world.
(John 17 vs 16, Amplified Bible)

As Christians on earth, how many times do we remind ourselves that we do not belong here? If we do this more often, we will not struggle for so many things we are currently struggling to attain, deceiving ourselves that this life is a do-or-die affair.

b) They exercised their "alien powers" when necessary, always realising that they were different from other normal humans and so had a capacity to do things differently.

Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world. ( 1 John 4 vs 4, Amplified Bible)

As long as it is certain that you belong to God, the heavenly deposited power of the Holy Spirit should have outward manifestations in your life. Situations should not rule over us; we should be ready to back the crowd in order to lead the orchestra.
Check yourself today, can you point at physical evidences of the Spirit inward workings in your life? If not, you need to make necessary adjustments as soon as possible.

I will love to know your thoughts about my musings, kindly drop your comments so I can make necessary adjustments. Thank you!
